Meet our Family Law Firm

Barbara G. Azimov is an experienced and dedicated family law attorney. She is knowledgeable and competent in all areas relating to divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, division of assets and debts, and restraining orders.

She graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a major in Political Science and a Secondary Education degree. She received a Masters Degree in special education from Oakland University in 1976. Ms. Azimov is a former school teacher and business woman with extensive business experience. She graduated from the University of LaVerne School of Law in 1992 and has been licensed to practice law since that time.

Ms. Azimov opened her own practice in 1993, with an emphasis on phases of family law. She has served as a Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Pro Tem and as a Family Law Mediator.

Ms. Azimov, a former chairperson of the Family Law Section of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association as well as the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. She is currently a member of the executive committee of the Family Law Section of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, where she has served as program chair.

Christine A. McClane joined the Law Offices of Barbara G. Azimov as an associate attorney in 2004. Ms. McClane focuses on divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, domestic violence cases and mediation of all family law issues.

Ms. McClane attended law school in upstate New York at Albany Law School of Union University, graduating in May 2000. She is licensed to practice law in all courts of New York State and the State of California and is a member of the Los Angeles Bar Association, the San Fernando Valley Bar Association and the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

Since 2001, Ms. McClane has provided pro bono service to victims of domestic violence who are in need of restraining orders, through Neighborhood Legal Services in Pacoima, California. During law school, Ms. McClane became a member of Phi Alpha Delta, participated in a program called “Serve Albany,” which provided legal counseling to elderly clients and clients dealing with various family law issues and won the 1999 ASCAP legal writing contest.

Ms. McClane has recently been accepted into Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution Master’s Degree/Certificate Program, where she will continue to study mediation.

Prior to attending law school Ms. McClane received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a double major in Music Performance and Psychology from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York in 1996, graduating cum laude. Ms. McClane received her Masters Degree in Business Administration from the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York in 1997, graduating summa cum laude.

Evangelina Hurtado has worked for the Law Offices of Barbara G. Azimov as a legal assistant since 2005. She has worked in the legal profession for eleven years. Ms. Hurtado began her legal career working with a personal injury attorney. She has since worked for several law firms in her career which honed her skills in effectively communicating with clients and the court. Now that Eva has entered the family law field, she is able to use these skills as well as her organizational skills to assist clients who commend her for her understanding and patience.
